Home Is Where The Heart Is
If you want to improve your home while helping others improve theirs, the homeless charity Shelter has an innovative campaign to help you do both. Architect in the House matches home owners with members of the Royal Institute of British Architects, who have given up their time for an hour-long design consultation. In exchange, the home owner makes a suggested minimum donation of £40 to Shelter. Architect in the House has been running for 13 years and has raised over £800,000 for homeless and badly housed people.
