Star Pizza
Edinburgh pizzeria La Favorita has become the irst in Scotland to receive a prestigious One Star AA Rosette, joining the likes of top restaurants The Tower and The Witchery. La Favorita adds the award to its title of Pizza Restaurant of the Year from the Pizza Pasta and Italian Food Association. La Favorita owner Tony Crolla also runs the popular Italian restaurants Vittoria on Leith Walk and George IV Bridge.
AA Rosettes are awarded to restaurants which are inspected by the AA after being nominated by members of the public. An AA spokeswoman said: “The restaurant impressed our inspector with the use of ine produce and traditional wood-burning pizza ovens, as well as the contemporary decor and friendly atmosphere. This Rosette rating recognises excellent local restaurants serving food prepared with care, understanding and skill, using good quality ingredients.”
